Unlimited learning

Teacher mobility for professional development and international competence.

As part of Mondriaan’s renewed vision on internationalisation, international mobility becomes a structural part of professional development.

Context

As part of ROC Mondriaan’s renewed vision on internationalisation, the focus is on strengthening international activities for Mondriaan employees. An important element of this approach is the central development and organisation of themed international mobility trips for teachers and staff. This initiative aims to make internationalisation a structural part of staff professional development and to support the overall quality of education within the schools.

The trips are designed around one of the key building blocks of the educational vision. Each trip has a clear programme with well‑defined learning goals and learning outcomes. The trips include an educational component (learning), an active element (vitality), a cultural experience (global citizenship), and an activity focused on relaxation (incentive and well‑being).

Why We Organise Teacher Mobility Trips

We organise international teacher mobility trips to help teachers and staff grow professionally and to strengthen Mondriaan’s international ambitions. Teachers can apply for these educational studytrips with approval from their school. Each trip is linked to the strategic goals for internationalisation and to the new educational themes in Mondriaan’s vision.

Developing teachers’ skills and international competences

Building strong international networks and partnerships

Learning from new insights and good practices to improve education

By showing a clear and outward focus on internationalisation, Mondriaan becomes more attractive for both teachers and students. Teachers gain experiences that help them explain the value of internationalisation to students and motivate them to take part in international opportunities.

Results

By actively taking part in internationalisation activities, teachers increase their engagement and confidence, which is expected to have a positive impact on:

The quality and international orientation of education
Teachers’ motivation, job satisfaction, and Mondriaan’s attractiveness as an employer
Students’ awareness of and participation in international learning opportunities
The awareness of the education vision building blocks among teachers and students
Cooperation and team building between teams from different schools
